This is a wonderful necklace made in a modernist style by Pierre Cardin during the 1960s. It is unsigned but the square piece at either end is pierced with the Pierre Cardin stylized logo and I’ve seen similar Cardin necklaces using similar red plastic pieces. The necklace is constructed with red “cough drop” shaped pieces, each bordered on either side by a fitted gold toned brass metal block, all held together by chain links. The necklace measures about 17 1/2” in length, laid out straight, so would fit close to the neck, like a choker, the tightness depending on the size of your neck. The end has a bar that I assume you would insert into the Cardin logo to secure on the neck. It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear - please view the enlarged photos.
Nice piece of French fashion designer costume jewelry - wonderful addition to a collection!
