On July 27, 1953, the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed by the United States, The Korean People’s Army, and The Chinese People’s Volunteer Army, bringing to an end the fighting of 3 year long conflict known as the Korean War, and the agreement was later adopted in the UN General Assembly a month later! However, no official peace treaty was ever signed, so while the fighting has ended, the area remains in a state of war to this day.

Those who look closely at this design may notice that the background contains the actual armistice agreement signed nearly 70 years ago!
