This is an unused 1970s 3 piece mens suit that is made of a light blue wool and polyester blended fabric. The vest is reversible with a checked pattern on one side and solid blue on the other side (see photos).  The jacket to this 1970s 3 piece mens suit has padded shoulders, wide notched lapels, a two button front, four button cuffs and has a 11” centre vent at the bottom back.  There is a pocket at the chest and a flapped pocket at either side.  It is half lined in light blue acetate.  The vest has a cutaway front, a five button closure, and a four pocket front for the solid blue side and a two button front for the checked side. The pants have a flat panel front and a flared leg.

Sizing: The vest still has size tickets stapled onto it that read size 42 and the pants still have a ticket that reads size 36 waist, but I think that this 1970s 3 piece mens suit is more like a size medium (US 38/40) - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Jacket:

Shoulders: 18” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam: 16 1/4”

Chest:  43” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  38” around, buttoned

Overall length:  29 1/2”, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Vest:

Chest:  40” around, taken under the arm openings

Waist:  35”

Pants:

Waist:  36”

Leg inseam:  31 1/2” - there are an additional 3 inches of fabric inside of the hem should you need more length

Length:  41 1/2”

Condition: This 1970s 3 piece mens suit is very clean as it is unused.  There is an impression on the solid blue side of the vest caused by the ticket, but this would just need to be pressed out
