This is an exceptional quality ladies panama straw hat made in a fedora style with turned up edge to the brim.  The hat was made by Motsch for Hermes - Motsch is a legendary Paris hat maker in business since 1887 and a preferred supplier to Hermes Paris.  The hat has a wide brim and is decorated both along the edge of the brim and around the crown with grey grosgrain ribbon.  There is no lining on this Motsch for Hermes panama - the straw is marked with two sets of initials that I assume have to do with the individuals responsible for making the hat.  The size tag reads 58, which should be equivalent to a US size 7 1/4, however, this fits like a US size 7 - it measures 22” around the sweatband and 6 5/8” by 7 5/8” across the opening.  This Motsch for Hermes hat is in very clean condition but the brim is a little uneven, probably due to storage, fairly minor and probably not difficult to correct. Note that there is some diagonal delineation in the straw, but this is original to the making of the hat.  The straw is in a wheat toned colour.  This is a very fine panama fedora - Motsch for Hermes produces the highest quality hats!
