This is a vintage mens morning coat that belonged to Classy Formal.  Classy is a Canadian company, founded in 1919, that sells and rents formal wear.  This vintage mens morning coat is made of a good quality charcoal grey wool.  It has padded shoulders, peaked lapels, a chest pocket at the left, a single linked button closure and two buttons at the back.  The interior is lined in a taffeta fabric, perhaps viscose.  No pants are included

Label: Classy.  The tailor’s label on this vintage mens morning coat appears to be to date to the 1960s or 70s, probably pre-1973 as the label is unilingual

Sizing: The tailor’s label states 38 R, but the chest measurement looks to me to indicate more like a US size 36 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, comparing them to another jacket that you may own or your body measurements, allowing some room for fit:

Shoulders: 17” across seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 24” long taken from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 39” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 33” around

Overall length: 42“, measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition:  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours. This vintage mens morning coat appears to have seen little use and has been very well cared for.
