This is a wonderful men’s three piece suit made in a green woven wool fabric. The jacket has high set medium width notched lapels and does not have a closure - it is meant to wear open at the front so as to display the vest. The shoulders of the jacket are slightly padded and there is a jetted pocket at either side, and a jetted pocket at the left chest. The jacket has a double vent at the back and is half lined with a striped copper brown satin fabric. It has two interior pockets. The vest has a four pocket front and closes with five covered buttons. Its back matches the satin lining on the jacket. The pants have a flat front (no pleats) and a tapered leg with no turned cuff at the bottom. There is a slightly curved pocket at either upper front side and the waist has a sizing adjustment tab on either side.
Age: mid 1960s
Label: Golden Brand Clothes Quality Tailored
Material label: “London Loom Lustre Finish Venetian”, probably worsted wool, nice quality with a rich looking appearance. It is woven in a fine striping, almost like a herringbone but in a different pattern, in a combination of green and ochre yellow threads.
Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size, about a size 40 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the suit into consideration):

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 17” long
Chest: 44” around, taken under the arms, with a normal gap at the front

Overall length: 29 1/2“, measured flat
Vest:
Chest: 40”, just - if you have a 40” chest, this will fit snuggly
Length: 22”, measured flat
Pants:
Waist: 34”
Hips: 42”
Length: 37” - there is 2 3/4” of extra fabric inside the cuff should you require more length
Leg Inseam: 27 1/2”
Condition: This suit is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours - there were a couple of spots on the right inside leg of the pants but they wiped off with water, but you might want to have the pants dry cleaned, although I don’t think that it is necessary. This suit looks like it saw very little use and was very well kept over the years.
This is a wonderful suit from the mid 60s when London fashion was in vogue......quality fabric, hard to find 1960s three piece suits like this in such nice condition....
