The sun embroidered at the neck means that a woman rises into her own universe each time she pulls on the blouse she has woven for herself.  In the designs are symbols of her life recording in thread her family, village, dreams, the night sky on the day she was born - a whole world reflected in a garment.  Our founder, Susan, purchased this striking piece from the strong women of this village years ago, and is finally willing to let it go to another loving home.
