This is a wonderful Mexican tourist jacket that would have been bought by a visitor as a souvenir. The souvenir Mexican jacket was popular right after WWII and was so in demand that one could buy it from boutiques in Southern California. This Mexican tourist jacket is made in black wool with wool crewel embroidery on the front and cuffs featuring floral motifs in bright colours of purple, yellow, brown, red, mint green, mauve, blue and white. The jacket has no closures and is unlined.
