The 35mm Wood Camera (Purpleheart/Cherry)

4 years after the original, we got together with our Master Wood Craftsman George one final time to design and make these new limited-edition wooden cameras. Brand new for 2021, only 10 have been made with this unique combination of wood species. 

Handcrafted in Philadelphia, this is the ultimate gift for the photography connoisseur who thinks they've seen it all. 

Over 12 hours of work goes into making each camera, with each piece of wood sanded, joined and finished by hand. 

Each 35mm Wood Camera is made of 5 different types of wood:

• Top Plate / Upper Body: Cherry
• Bottom Plate / Lower Body / Focusing Ring: Purpleheart
• Hot Shoe / Shutter Button / Front Lens Element: Maple
• Lens Base: Oak
• Shutter Dial / Rewind Knob: Mahogany
• Viewfinder / Rangefinder: Walnut veneer

Each Camera comes with a unique edition number and storycard describing the types of wood used and how to properly care for this heirloom-quality gift.
