In many Native American traditions, the burning of sage is used ceremoniously to purify or bless people and places. It is commonly used now in homes to cleanse the energy and clear out negative vibes. Place the dried sage on the abalone shell and burn to produce smoke. Use the feather to fan the smoke, and burn the palo santo stick and let the ember smoke. Be mindful.
