Nothing worse that a match where you are not touching the ice in the 2nd or 3rd period......you could be sitting there in flip-flops with a chilly one and it wouldn’t matter.....your boots ache and you just pray that play keeps moving so you can keep the blood flowing opening and closing the doors and standing up to fist bump when your team tucks one in late in the 3rd......the everyday grind of a gatekeeper.....two mint condition barely worn game sweaters and a bunch of butt splinters.
