The painting of "Our Lady Undoer of Knots" by artist Johann Melchior Georg Schmittdner, was inspired by a meditation of St. Irenaeus (Bishop and martyr), in which he compared Eve and Mary, saying: "Eve, by her disobedience, tied the knot of disgrace for the human race; whereas Mary, by her obedience, undid it." May our Lady assist us in the problems and struggles of our lives, undoing the knots that betray the heart's joy.
