When the Spring Classics move on to the Ardennes, many race fans are already looking forward to the first of the Grand Tours. So many of the races seem like a segue until the next best thing. All except for the Doyenne, the Old Lady, the oldest of all of the Classics; Liege-Bastogne-Liege. A long grind of 259 km, with the same punchy hills (sans les pavé) that suit the all-rounders.
