  • The MIJ7 – Yahan Midnight Selvedge is an unsanforized 17oz slubby Japanese selvedge denim dyed to such a deep shade of indigo that it appears black. Indigo rope dyeing is a delicate process of running cotton yarns through two story dye vats quickly enough that the dye cannot penetrate the core of the yarn. Then the yarn dries and is dipped again, dries and is dipped again. The yarns are dipped dozens of times to achieve that raw denim shade.
