Limited Edition Blazer Jacket: They say that necessity is the mother of invention. Well, I had been wanting to invent this one for a long time.

When I wear a blazer, I feel like my chest is completely exposed. It was driving me nuts that whenever I would wear a blazer, I would inevitably end up wishing that I had another jacket to throw over it. I live in San Francisco where you can turn a corner and be in a new, windy micro-climate that is 15 degrees cooler than where you just were. 

I keep wishing that I could convert my blazer into something with a little more coverage...... well, Voila!  

This blazer has an elongating 3 button placket, but simply flatten out your lapels, pop your collar and then button the top buttons for more complete coverage. It is as if your favorite blazer & trench coat had a little baby.

I have long admired the exquisite tailoring skills & the strong sculptural sense of my good friend Dahae Kim. She and I have collaborated on jackets before and we hope you like the new ideas just as much. Each piece is individually made at Dahae's studio in Oakland, California.

I will admit that sometimes I pause when I hear the word 'blazer' because they can look really serious, really fast. In other words, they can make you look a little stuffy.

We cut this style with an 8.5oz twill that has a little bit of stretch built in. The fabric has a good amount of body which can create a sharp silhouette, while the twill weave construction adds just a little bit of attitude.

Oh and the 3% stretch in the fabric is so damn comfortable!

You may recognize those distinct pocket details from the bomber jackets we created last year. We thought they were so cool that we hijacked them for the blazer too.

There's also a very subtle (and very cool) stitching detail in the center of the collar. Just a little surprise when you pop that collar up.

The blazers are constructed with a single vent and interior patch pocket (who doesn't need more pockets?).

Made of 97% cotton with 3% lycra.
