Aperture Mugs (Set of 2)

If you're in the habit of drinking coffee or tea while you work on your photos, you know that having a reliable, high-quality mug is key to keeping you in your flow while you work. 

We've made some mugs in the past, but this year we wanted to take things to the next level. So we got together with a local ceramic artist here in Philadelphia to make a limited set of entirely hand-made mugs.

We worked closely with Melissa of @handcraftcurio to create these special mugs from the ground up.  Each stage in the process was carefully considered, from the size of the mug, to the type of clay selected, to the exact way in which the aperture was hand-carved into the side, to the style of the bottom of the mug, to the type of glaze finish. 

Each of these mugs was entirely made by hand by Melissa here in Philadelphia, and the entire process of selecting and weighing the clay, shaping, carving, firing, glazing and final firing took nearly 2 months. 

These mugs are a limited special edition, and only 15 of each were made.

They are guaranteed to keep your drink warm in style, and your photography inspired for years to come. 

ABOUT THESE MUGS:

These ceramic mugs are entirely made by hand in the USA. They were hand-thrown and shaped, hand-carved, and hand finished with a unique, gorgeous, durable glaze. 

These mugs are dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing them to give them the longest life possible.
