F/8 and Be There

It's been the credo of street and documentary photographers since the 1940's, but what does it mean?

Legend has it, sometime in the 1940's famed New York street photographer Arthur Fellig (better known as "Weegee"), was asked how he always got such incredible photographs. His answer?  "f/8 and be there". 

Sound advice - to this day - for those hoping to capture the fleeting decisive moments around us in daily life.
