I wasn't planning on making a top version of the Dory Dress until, while working on the design of the Dory Dress, I placed an unfinished part of the bodice onto my dress form. Upon seeing how great it looked (even with lots of ragged edges), I knew that designing this top was my destiny. Similarly to the Dory Dress, the top has a fitted, paneled apron-style bodice, but instead of a zipper, it is dotted in the back with vintage mother-of-pearl buttons. Wear it with a high-waisted pair of jeans, or make a playsuit with the matching Aurora Shorts.
This top is made of silk shantung milled in India. Ever since working with shantung for the first time for our FW19 collection, I've been obsessed. Shantung has a glamorous sheen and subtle crispness that make it a joy to work with and an even greater joy to behold. This particular shantung features multicolored stripes (yellow, blue, taupe, and white) that exude summery joy.
This top is lined with Bemberg cupro rayon woven in Japan. Cuprammonium rayon is so neat: it has all the benefits of being a natural fiber — breathability, biodegradability, durability — in addition to all the benefits of a super silky lining fabric — anti-static, anti-cling, total opacity. Made from the leftover fibers (known as linter) from the cotton plant after the ginning process, cupro is super-sustainable too (a true zero-waste fiber!).

Use your bust measurement when determining your size in the Dory Top. If you are in between sizes, we recommend sizing up.
