The Dory Dress is quite possibly the happiest dress I've ever made. Inspired by one of my all-time favorite vintage dresses, the Dory has an apron-style paneled bodice and a subtly flared skirt. It's very fitted yet very comfortable, and did I mention just how happy it looks? I can't wait to wear this piece every day once it gets warm outside.
This dress is made of silk shantung milled in India. Ever since working with shantung for the first time for our FW19 collection, I've been obsessed. Shantung has a glamorous sheen and subtle crispness that make it a joy to work with and an even greater joy to behold. This particular shantung features multicolored stripes (yellow, blue, taupe, and white) that exude summery joy.
This dress is lined with Bemberg cupro rayon woven in Japan. Cuprammonium rayon is so neat: it has all the benefits of being a natural fiber — breathability, biodegradability, durability — in addition to all the benefits of a super silky lining fabric — anti-static, anti-cling, total opacity. Made from the leftover fibers (known as linter) from the cotton plant after the ginning process, cupro is super-sustainable too (a true zero-waste fiber!).

The Dory Dress is fitted in the bust and the waist, so use both measurements when determining your size. This dress runs true to size, but size up if you are in doubt.
Tanya is wearing a size 4 and is 5'10.
