This is a men’s vintage smoking jacket / short lounging robe featuring a paisley pattern in a gold tone against a black background colour. This vintage smoking jacket has small shoulder pads at the seams, a black satin shawl collar, black satin turned cuffs and has a chest pocket and applied pocket at either side, all trimmed in black satin. It closes with a matching tasselled satin sash belt.
Age: most likely 1950s, possibly early 60s

Material: Most likely acetate possibly rayon
Sizing: European size 50 is indicated on this vintage smoking jacket, which should be equivalent to a US size 40, and although this should fit a medium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit:
Shoulders: 19” across shoulder/sleeve seams
Sleeves: 24” long from the shoulder seam to the cuff edge
Sleeve Inseam: 17” long
Chest: 43” around, approximate (depending on overlap)
Waist: 43” uncinched, but meant to be cinched
Overall length: 31”, measured at the back from the neck seam
Condition: This vintage smoking jacket is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, staining, soiling or odour. This looks to have seen little use and was well cared for over the years.
