This is a wonderful 1930s vintage necktie sold by Ogilvy’s Men Shop in Montreal - Ogilvy’s was a high end department store with roots dating to 1866.  This 1930s vintage necktie is woven with a deco motif in green, light blue and red against a darker blue background that is also woven with a repeating motif. It measures 47 1/2” in length and has a width of 3” at its widest.  It has a label affixed to it that reads “Ogilvy’s Mens Shop Montreal Imported Fabric”.  There is no tie loop.  I assume that because the label reads “Imported Fabric” that it is not silk, but rather rayon, which was popular during the 30s as tie fabric.  This 1930s vintage necktie has not been dry cleaned but is in very good condition, clean with no noted stains or wear and ready to wear - just open at the back seam, but this is minor.  This is a wonderful art deco 1930s vintage necktie - nice colour and pattern!
