This is an original slip shade meant for use with an art deco light fixture or chandelier. It came from my previous residence where I lived during the 1970s and 80s - it was an apartment flat that dated to 1898 and I believe that the fixtures had been installed during the 1920s. The shade measures 4 3/4 in diameter with a height of about 4 1/2 - the slip measures 2 3/8 across the top. It is in very good condition with the exception of one small shallow chip to the interior of one of the raised squares on the top edge and a fleabite to the fitter where the V shape is - see last three close-up photos, the last two show the top edge chip from the interior and exterior. You dont see the fitter chip when the shade is mounted and the top edge chip is quite minor, so I dont think that these defects would bother anyone at all. Very pretty colour and wonderful raised detailing - these will look lovely in the right decor!
