Timeless design weaves a rich tapestry of pattern and texture, making these handmade, one-of-a-kind Kantha totes a work of folk art.
Kantha which means “patched cloth” is a 500 year old embroidery craft using a straight “running stitch” created by rural craftswomen with pieces of discarded fabric to make blankets. Since they’re made from discarded fabric, no new raw materials, dyes or water were used in their production, the pieces they’re made from have been kept out of landfills and the jackets/vests/totes are made to last, making them an eco-friendly choice.

Please note that though these pieces are new, the upcycled and vintage fabrics they are constructed from may show signs of wear or fading that contribute to their unique character.
